The Contest ends on June 30, 2025, at 11:59 pm IST (the Entry Deadline). All entries must be received by this deadline.
WHO MAY ENTER
Any individual or company, who have shot Indian weddings or pre weddings are eligible to enter the contest. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry.
HOW TO ENTER
All entries must be submitted online as uploads after logging in to https://www.wsengage.com/wpa and filling up the registration form in detail.
Entrants are allowed to participate in multiple categories (up to 20 entries per category, or a single entry comprising up to 15 images in the Wedding Photographer of the Year Category).
Entrants are allowed to enter the same image in multiple themes, if the image is representative of that category.
There are no print entries. Entries sent through email, prints, or through any other means, will not be considered.
To enter electronically, please visit https://www.wsengage.com/wpa to register. Once the registration process has been completed, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Simply log onto the website and follow the online instructions to upload images from your computer. Digital images should have a long dimension of at least 2,000 pixels and be saved at 300 dpi (Around 7" or larger) and should be free of any watermarks or logos. We recommend the compressed file size not be larger than 5 megabytes to ensure a fast upload experience. Anything larger will not be accepted by our system and you will be prompted to upload compress files again.

Each submitted photograph or film, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that he or she has full power and authority to enter the photograph or film, and that the photograph or film does not infringe any copyright or violate any other intellectual property rights. The entrant agrees to indemnify WeddingSutra from any and all third party claims arising from the photograph or film.
LEGAL RESTRICTIONS
The entrant must be the sole creator of his / her photographs and must also own the copyrights / rights to reproduction of all images entered into the contest. It is the legal responsibility of the entrant, and not WeddingSutra, to ensure that publication of the photographs by WeddingSutra raises no legal claims.
AI generated images will not be accepted. If discovered, your entry will be removed from the competition and if a prize is involved, it will be deemed invalid.
WeddingSutra will appoint a judging panel to determine the nominees and winning images in each category, based on a final shortlist.
Nominees may be asked to provide valid documents. Entrants must ensure that they are able to provide relevant documents within three days of being asked for by WeddingSutra, or risk disqualification.
Non-compliance to the terms and conditions will result in immediate elimination of the image or disqualification from participation.
RIGHTS OF USAGE
Every entrant will retain copyrights / rights to reproduction of his / her image.
By entering your images, entrants agree to allow WeddingSutra to publish or display their photographs in print or electronic form for editorial and promotional purposes without payment. The images will be reproduced with due credit to the photographers. This essentially means that your images may be exhibited, used for promoting WeddingSutra Photography Awards, or used for editorial reasons. Your images will not be sold or misrepresented.
JUDGING AND RESULTS
There will be 15 judges across the judging system. Judging of entries will be anonymous, with no information about participants or images available to judges.
Entries will be judged on the basis of attention to detail, visual and emotional impact, composition and image design, exposure and focus, technique, processing and post production.
Entrants may be contacted for a high-resolution JPEG or RAW file of their image and other identification / age / residence documents, etc., for potential shortlisting purposes during the competition. Failure to produce such details or a high-resolution file within three days will eliminate an entrant from the shortlisting process.
Award nominees and winners will be announced and showcased at WeddingSutra Photography Awards event in Mumbai. Entry to the awards gala is by invitation only. Participation in the competition does not ensure you get an invite for the Awards Gala. Keep following WeddingSutra’s website, Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on the same.
The decision of the judges will be final. WeddingSutra will not enter into any correspondence regarding the judging or the organisation of the competition.
